Weighing in at nine tons and using a 75kW turbocharged diesel engine, the 10MCR uses a triangular track frame profile, which affords fast travel speeds in both directions using a closed-circuit hydrostatic transmission called Senso-drive. This feature allows the machine to operate at speeds of up to 10km/h in both directions.
In the cab, Mecalac has equipped the 10MCR with a mode switch that enables easy change over from skid-steer loader controls to that of tracked excavator format.
As a result, the firm claims it is a combination of four machines – excavator, loader, tool carrier and materials handler, all in one package.
