  • A front-wheel drive Mini-based coupé designed by David Ogle.
  • All of the car's mechanical components came from the Mini MkI, but with a new fibreglass body shell.
  • BMC initially refused to supply parts to David Ogle, but eventually relented on condition that the Mini name was not mentioned in any promotional.
  • All Ogle cars were supplied with Mini Cooper 997 cc engines.
  • Marketed as a conversion for buyer’s own Mini for £550 or as a complete car for £1190.
  • Introduced to the public in December 1961, the last cars were completed towards the end of 1963.
  • The moulds for the SX1000 were sold to Fletcher Marine in 1966 and the following year saw its reappearance as the Fletcher GT.
