The promotional edition of Model 4964 conventional truck was equipped with a Cummins Model NTC 444 engine, which was used in a Western Star truck for the first time. The truck is named "Premium Blue" for its distinctive six-color paint job (multi-colored laser beams on a blue field) and the color of the NTC 444 engine. Each of the Premium Blues was equipped with a 66-inch sleeper. They also featured a Rockwell FF941 front axle, and an Eaton DS381 rear axle as the standard spec.
